Content Abstract

This book contains more than 20 major works on the history of rice cropping research by Mr. Zeng Xiongsheng, a doctoral tutor of the Institute of Natural Science History of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an expert in agricultural history since 1986, involving paddy field agricultural tools, rice field planting systems, and rice crops.


作者简介

曾雄生,世代业农,种稻、植棉、树橘。1979年入学江西师范大学,习史学。1985年至1988年入浙江农业大学(今浙江大学),受业游修龄氏门下,专攻农史。自1988年始迄今供职京师之中国科学院自然科学史研究所。主要从事中国农史、水稻栽培史、农业文化研究。

Author Introduction

Zeng Xiongsheng has been a farmer for generations, planting rice, cotton and tangerines. In 1979, he enrolled in Jiangxi Normal University and studied history. From 1985 to 1988, he joined Zhejiang Agricultural University (now Zhejiang University) and majored in agricultural history. He has been working in the Institute for the History of Natural Science (IHNS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) since 1988, focusing on Chinese agricultural history, rice cultivation history, agricultural culture research.
